This has been quite a year… One for the history books, for sure! The experience of distance learning is one that will not soon be forgotten and it is our wish that the upcoming school year will see fewer restrictions and a return to some semblance of a more typical school routine. Time will tell. and we are not yet certain of what September holds. For now, all we can do is be patient, continue to employ as many safety precautions as possible to keep ourselves healthy and hope that we will all see each other soon.
To the students who will be moving on: we will miss you and are so proud of you. You became a part of the very fabric that made our little community so special. Congratulations to our small but mighty graduating class! WE KNEW YOU COULD DO IT! Wherever you are, know that you and your families will always remain in our prayers and we wish you the blessings of God always and everywhere.
Parents and guardians, you can’t know how truly appreciative we are for your partnership and for the trust you have bestowed upon us all in the care of your children. Your children are so fortunate to have the advocates that they have in you, and we were so honoured to work alongside of you to help them achieve their goals.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to the staff who will be leaving St. Luke: Ms. Abela, Ms. Grossi, Mr. Lombardi, Ms. Thorpe and Ms. Scarpitti. Thank you for your dedication to the students at St. Luke and all that you did to support their personal and academic goals. I wish all of these wonderful educators the very best at their new schools and in future endeavours.
A special thanks is extended to our Superintendents Mr. Pivato and Ms. Sarna for their continued support of both programs, and to the Administrations of all YCDSB high schools for their collaboration in supporting student needs. The St. Luke Community extends its congratulations to Director Ab Falconi on the occasion of his retirement and we wish him well in the years ahead.
We looking forward to welcoming back many of our current students as well as a number of new faces on September 9th! We will be in touch at the end of August with regards to transportation details should be return to school, in addition to other instructions as they relate to the start of the new school year. Continue to follow us on Twitter and check the school website for any updates. In the meantime, I wish you all a safe and restful summer. God bless you always!
